What is considered an acro trick?

What happens when a dancer runs off/doesn't finish their routine?

  • Any time the feet go over head

  • Does not include lifts/partner work, floorwork, jumps or any handstands

  • Even if the trick is repeated it counts as another trick. (2 cartwheels at different times in the routine still counts as 2 separate tricks)

  • A pass of tricks with no steps in between counts as 1 trick.

  • 2 people doing the same trick at the same time counts as only 1 trick

If a dancer were to run off the stage before completing their routine, the dance is now void. They are allowed try the dance again where they can be slotted in, but the routine although still scored is no longer counted for overalls, and if more then one dancer is in the category, the void dance will not be in consideration for placements in the category. However, if the dancer chooses not to perform the dance again, the dance will not be scored.
